As part of the Global Visual Merchandise department that designs and services all in-store visual merchandise aspects, Scotch & Soda is looking for an Visual Merchandise Area Manager. In this role you report to the Global Visual Merchandise Manager and you will join our beautiful canal side office at the heart of Amsterdam.

The Visual Merchandise Area Manager is responsible for managing the consistency and quality of Visual Merchandising in our Central/East Europe region. You will control the quality of visual implementations through store visits and regular photo analysis and make sure that all your doors fulfil our Visual Merchandise Excellence standards. Furthermore you will:

  • Ensure that all doors are visited according to prioritization and ensure training of our Store Visual Merchandisers through dedicated training sessions or during your Store visits
  • Support display setup for Key store openings and installations including layout, VM selection and Windows and Coordinate regional Key-Events and Initiatives
  • Identify and communicate Key City needs and best practices to VM Department Manager
  • Be responsible for communication in your area regarding wholesale, retail and distributors
  • Build and improve (communication) processes with cross functional partners such as suppliers and Head Office departments
  • Partner closely with the store planning team and Supply Chain team
  • Ensure that all stores have the correct props assortment to achieve sales goals, monitor the props usage and maintenance and deliver credible monthly development’s plans for props

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Based in Amsterdam
  • 3 years’ experience in visual merchandising
  • Fluent in English, Dutch will be appreciated
  • Advanced experience in using Keynote, Power point and Adobe
  • Experience within the Fashion Industry preferred
  • Retail experience is a plus
  • Methodical working style, who has excellent organization skills
  • Understand their role, embrace collaboration and hold Themselves Accountable
  • Flexible, optimistic and future-focused
  • Effective and efficient communication skills
