About the Role:

As our Master Data Specialist, you will be the backbone of our data management efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the governance and management of master data across our European team. This role is crucial in supporting key business processes and decision-making through accurate and reliable data. You will work closely with departments like IT, Operations, Sales, and Finance, and align with our US data team to streamline and optimize data management strategies.



What You’ll Do:

  • Master Data Governance:
    • Develop and implement master data management (MDM) policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and establish governance councils as needed.
  • Data Quality & Integrity:
    • Monitor and enhance the quality of master data.
    • Conduct regular data audits, cleansing activities, and implement quality metrics.
  • Data Management:
    • Oversee creation, maintenance, and validation of master data records.
    • Manage data lifecycle processes and ensure proper integration across systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work with various business units to understand and meet their data needs.
    • Provide training and support on master data management practices.
  • Project Management:
    • Participate in and manage data-related projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends in data management.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in master data management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and management practices.
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies (e.g., MDM software, ERP, data quality tools).
  • Experience working in ERP environments, specifically with Exenta from Aptean is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Must hold valid work authorization for the Netherlands, without the need for employer sponsorship
