For our brand Scotch & Soda, we are currently seeking a financial wizard with a passion for planning, a flair for storytelling through numbers, and a desire to make a mark in the fashion industry.

Position Overview:

As our first Forecasting & Business Planning Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting financial operations across multiple European countries (Wholesale and Franchise). This position serves as a vital connection between finance and sales, focusing on tasks such as forecasting, budget planning, order management, and stock optimization. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional skilled in turning financial data into clear insights. 

The role reports directly to our Chief Sales Officer, you'll be their trusted advisor on commercial performance. As the first Forecasting & Business Planning Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to build the function from the ground up.

The role sits at our modern headquarters in Hoofddorp, featuring our beautiful showrooms and are the bustling center for our dedicated sales and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and Budget Planning:
    • Develop comprehensive and data-driven forecasting models for sales, demand, and inventory for each country and franchise partner in Europe.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align budget planning with sales projections, driving growth, and cost optimization.
    • Provide timely updates to ensure financial targets are met, identifying and addressing deviations, and making strategic recommendations.
  • Order Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end order management process, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing from various partners.
    • Continuously monitor order fulfillment, tracking delivery performance, and addressing any challenges to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Storytelling:
    • Translate complex financial data into compelling narratives, highlighting areas for improvement, key recommendations, milestones, and successes.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders, bridging the gap between finance and sales.
  • Stock and Inventory Management:
    • Develop and execute innovative stock and inventory management strategies, minimizing stockouts and overstocks while optimizing efficiency.
    • Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline inventory processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Additional Tasks (Not Limited To):
    • Daily sales reporting, providing real-time insights into sales performance.
    • Weekly and monthly sales analysis, identifying trends and opportunities.
    • Monthly forecasting, adjusting strategies based on market shifts and internal performance.
    • Financial target setting based on the annual forecast, tracking progress, and making recommendations for course correction.

Ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong long-term planner, and possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, with a knack for storytelling through financial data.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 year's experience in financial planning, inventory management, and order management, preferably within the retail or fashion industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience working with international markets and franchise partners in Europe is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
