Kidswear Merchandiser - Imane

Imane has worked for Scotch & Soda as a Kids Merchandiser for four years. It’s Imane’s responsibility to create a business growth strategy for our kids’ collection by researching the markets, investigating target audiences and keeping an eye on what the competition is doing. Armed with all of this research, she informs the design team about what we need to build the collections and tries to get the balance between demand and creativity just right.
“I work as part of a cross-functional team, alongside colleagues from sales, production and design. There’s a lot of trust between us, which is amazing to see. To be effective in my role, I need to stay constantly up-to-date with what’s going on and keep an eye out for new brands breaking into the market. There’s a lot to plan, but I work with an incredible team. Over the last four years, I’ve learned things I wouldn’t have been able to learn in 10 years at a different company.”
